wedding
Maybe you did know better to not marry an unbeliever and went ahead and married them anyway. Everything might be rosy at first but we certainly will have trouble in this world. How will you face trials and troubles in life? No one is perfect and everyone has a bad day or occasional disagreements. As a believer the unbelieving spouse will constantly pull you away, one way or another, from fellowship with Christ. How many young ladies and men meet someone at church, but not long after the wedding the spouse is staying home to watch the game, sleep in, etc. Soon you aren't praying together or pursuing God together. If we are standing still we are stagnating. 1 John 1:9 provides an excellent opportunity to start over with the Lord and pray for renewal of passion and pursuit of God in your marriage. Pursuing God will bring you together. Pursuing one another leads you apart. Pray for the salvation of your unbelieving spouse. Pray they don't become tempted because they don't have the spiritual discernment to warn them against the schemes f the devil. The Enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy. He often finds a foothold in our unequally yoked marriages.
